Jaber Dewli (Siren Valley) without electricity, hospital and water supply amenities.

Jabar Dewli, a scenic hill spot and recreational holiday resort, situated in picturesque Siren Valley, has turned out to be the worst victim of political victimization, leaving the residents at the mercy of policy makers as the area is without electricity, non-operative hospital and water supply and water supply despite two hydro power projects approvals.

Funds allocations, infrastructure development, final test survey and go head approval of Chinese partners has been granted for initiation of the two hydro power electricity projects, local resident Aftab Shah revealed in a Citizens Voice survey.

445 Mega Watt hydroelectricity power project was approved, funds were allocated, hydroelectricity power project and operational modules were discussed with the local residents in detail and even the test run was technically carried out  in the presence of Chinese and local residents.

Meanwhile key handing over ceremony to the locals also took place during former Prime Minister Imran Khan term but soon after government change, project has been delayed without any proper justification, Aftab Shah apprised.

Another 445 Mega Watt hydroelectricity power project was also approved for neighboring village, funds were allocated for hydroelectricity power project but unfortunately it met the same fate due to the present government negligence and go-slow policy.

Well-rehearsed and excellently planned public friendly project was bound to give the ownership of these products to the local residents and provision of electricity on subsidized rates (RS 600 )per month with 22 hour electricity usage and provision of royalty to the locals was the vision of Pakistani and Chinese counterparts, Aftab Shah maintained.

Residents gave votes to the PTI government, and the people gave overwhelming confidence through their right of vote which is the main cause of non-completion of people friendly projects.

Basic Health Unit of Dewli Saddat has the state-of-the-art hospital but it has also remained closed for years due to the non-availability of doctors and medical staff as no one from medical profession is willing to work in these far-flung areas leaving the patients at the mercy of God, Aftab deplored.

Gynae patients must visit private medical hospitals in Abbottabad putting the mothers and newborn babies into various medical complications. Most of the women and their new borns lose their race of life on their way to hospitals.

The government should bound these doctors and nursing staff to perform their medical duties in this hospital so the residents could get a sigh of relief saving their precious lives.

Provincial minister of health, secretary health and all those concerned should take a serious notice of such criminal negligence on the part of doctors and nursing staff because they are morally and ethically bound to perform their obligatory duties.

Meanwhile a ready to deliver water supply project of twelve-by-twelve water tank with three inch diameter pipe built to provide water supply to 250 households is also meeting the same fate due to the non-cooperative attitude of the government,

Federal government has curtailed and cut off the development funds of Bewli Sadaat and its neighboring villages due to unknown reasons falling victim to bureaucratic red-tapism and go-slow policy, Aftab concluded.
