Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to fairness, affirming that all provinces have been allocated their full share under the National Finance Award. Responding to opposition points in the National Assembly, the Prime Minister highlighted that an additional one percent share was granted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to support its anti-terrorism efforts. He praised the bravery and sacrifices of the people of KP in the war on terrorism.
Addressing another opposition concern, the Prime Minister clarified that the federal government had submitted a panel of three candidates for the Chief Secretary position in KP, following tradition. He noted that the KP government has yet to make a decision but offered to revise the panel if requested, dismissing any allegations of discrimination against the province.
