“Call for Kyrgyzstan Government to Address Attacks on Students”

In response to the violent attacks targeting foreign students in Bishkek, ANP central president Aimal Wali Khan has strongly condemned the incidents and called upon the government of Kyrgyzstan to take immediate action to restore order and ensure peace in the region.

Issuing a statement from Wali Bagh in Charsadda, Khan expressed deep concern over the escalating violence between local residents and foreign students, including those from Pakistan, in Bishkek. He emphasized the urgency for the Kyrgyzstan government to intervene and quell the unrest.

Furthermore, Khan urged the Pakistani embassy in Bishkek to fulfill its responsibilities in safeguarding the welfare of Pakistani students studying in Kyrgyzstan. He stressed the importance of the embassy’s proactive involvement in ensuring the security and well-being of the students amidst the volatile situation.

In light of the precarious circumstances, Khan advised the affected students to exercise caution and refrain from leaving their hostels until the situation improves and becomes conducive to their safety.

Highlighting the broader implications of such violent incidents, Khan underscored the need for the Kyrgyzstan government to prioritize the protection of foreign students. He emphasized that failing to address these security concerns could exacerbate tensions and foster mistrust between Kyrgyzstan and other nations.

In conclusion, Khan reiterated the ANP’s stance on condemning violence and called for swift and effective measures to be taken by the Kyrgyzstan government to ensure the safety and security of all students, irrespective of their nationality.
