ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In a promising development, a prominent Chinese company has demonstrated a strong interest in expanding its investments in Pakistan, showcasing growing confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Led by its Chairman Wang Jaichen, a delegation from the Chinese firm MCC Tongsin Resources recently met with PM Shehbaz in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz encouraged the Chinese company to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan’s mining sector and to participate in the manufacturing of export-oriented goods.
Assuring full support and facilitation from the government, Shehbaz pledged assistance to the company across all stages, from minerals exploration and processing to the export of goods.
The Prime Minister directed relevant federal ministers and officials to engage in continuous consultations with the Chinese firm, ensuring close collaboration with the Balochistan chief minister, provincial departments, and stakeholders.
Expressing their confidence in PM Shehbaz’s leadership, the delegates conveyed their eagerness to expand their investment footprint in Pakistan’s mining and minerals sectors.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz about their ongoing project involving the construction of a mineral park in Pakistan, along with outlining their future investment plans.
Prime Minister Shehbaz warmly welcomed the Chinese firm’s interest and reiterated his government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for foreign investment in Pakistan.
He also expressed gratitude to China for its unwavering support to Pakistan during challenging times, emphasizing the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Dr. Musaddik Malik, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Jam Kamal Khan, and other relevant senior officials.
