The Track and Trace System was introduced to monitor production in various industries including cigarette manufacturing, fertilizer, sugar, and cement. Its objectives include identifying counterfeit products and curbing smuggling activities.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed concern over the adverse impact of faulty planning and lax enforcement of the Track and Trace System on the national economy. He emphasized the need for accountability and urged swift action against those responsible for the negligence.
